JUAN SEBASTIAN TORALES

Juan Sebastian Torales is an Argentinian film director. In 2006 he wrote, produced, and directed his first short documentary, “La Croix”, selected for the Mar del Plata Film Festival, in which the artist Luizo Vega crucifies himself in real-time.

In 2007, he moved to Paris, He directed and wrote the short films “Los arboles” (2011) and “Le Warrior” (2018) among other independent productions. Since he moved to France he has been also a recognized editor of French television with more than 30 documentaries to his credit. “Almamula” is his first fiction film (Eurimages Development Prize in San Sebastian FF 2019). As a preamble to the story of his first feature, he directed and produced his short films “Sacha” (2019) and “Maco” (2020), both shot in Santiago del Estero, his hometown.
